Ward Thomas
We are absolutely delighted to have Ward Thomas headlining this year's Northwest Country Music Fest and they really don't need much introduction. In 2014, they released their award winning debut album "From Where We Stand." They found even greater success in 2016 with "Cartwheels," which not only equalled the success of their first album by reaching #1 in the UK Country Chart, but also #1 in the UK Album Chart, the first UK country act ever to achieve this. That album contained multiple hit singles such as "Carry You Home," "Guilty Flowers," and "Cartwheels."
The sisters continued to work on their music releasing three other albums, "Restless Minds," "Invitation" and "Music in the Madness," these records saw them expanding their musical palette, blending traditional country storytelling with elements of pop, rock, and electronica.
Ward Thomas will kick off their 10th anniversary tour of "Cartwheels" later this year, which is nearly sold out, so this might be your best chance to see them this year!
the small fortunes
The Small Fortunes were formed in Warrington during the covid lockdowns and built the band up over the next couple of years, the result is a raw and confident sound that quickly found them success.
Built on the backbone of blues, the grit of Muddy Waters, the drive of John Lee Hooker and wired with the urgency of modern garage rock, The Small Fortunes deal in energy over polish and are constantly pushing forward with their presentation and sound.
Their reputation has been built from high-impact, no frills, relentless performances and every single show has been a sell out.
Hot off the heels of their most recent sold out UK tour, they've just announced a new track that will release on the 29th of May and we can't wait to hear it!
